Our Cash for Clunkers program has been very well received! We’re thrilled to be offering our customers a deal on upgrading their appliances in a time when cash is running tight. But what you may not know about this program is that it is ultimately designed to help out the environment, as well as your wallet. We’ve always been concerned with the environment and conscientious of the footprint that we leave.

Ruby & Quiri’s Cash for Clunkers program offers the convenience of free delivery,  recycling/donation of your old clunkers,  and a gift card for a future purchase. Customers receive a $25 gift card for each item replaced ($50 if the replacement item is Energy Star —we want to reward our customers for making environmentally smart purchases)!

Green Where We Work

Our Cash for Clunkers program is just one of the ways we do our part to help out the planet. Our building and the way it operates is another. When we moved into the new building 2 years ago, we took measures to make it as energy efficient as possible with the use of

• High-efficiency insulation throughout
• Energy-efficient lighting, including numerous motion sensors
• High-efficiency HVAC equipment
• Use of “green” products and flooring throughout

And everyone at R&Q actively takes part in recycling. This includes

• Office paper
• Cardboard
• Plastic
• Metal
• Carpet pad and foam

Recently, we’ve amended the way we dispose of “clunker” furniture and appliances by

• Taking all of the metal springs and mechanisms out of items and recycling the metal
• Pulling all cushion cores out of furniture and recycling the foam
• Pulling all foam from mattresses and recycling it

A returned box spring: the metal coils will be removed and recycled. Any foam will also be recycled.

The "after" of a recycled sofa: the metal frame and mechanism will be recycled. The foam in the cushions will also be recycled.

Two bails of removed carpet pad and other foam products. These are returned to a pad manufacturer. They will clean and recycle the material into new carpet pad. We also bail all plastic to be recycled.

For over 60 years, we have been active in our community and take a lot of pride in giving back whenever we can. By finding needy homes for any clunker items that are still in good condition, we ensure that nothing is going to waste.
