I do not like this toaster. It does not toast evenly. It also either toasts too much or too little. This is the 2nd one I have owned as well. The 1st one broke in under a year for no apparent reason. I was hoping it was just a bad toaster, but this 2nd one is just as poor. I give it 2 stars because it doesn't use much plastic and looks nice.

still learning settings, but don't like the heating performance, works best when pushing the frozen button. If set at 8 it does not toast bread comes out barely toasted. Not worth the money, I would buy something else if I knew.

So Much More Than A Toaster

We love the simplicity of the toaster. Easy to use and the color and style fits with the Cafe wall oven and Cafe Smart microwave. Cleaning the crumb tray is so much easier with the door to the side of the toaster. Making toast is considerably faster than a traditional toaster. The controls are at your fingertips and easy to use. The 2 slot capacity is large enough for a bagel and therefore big enough for any size toast you want to make.

Toaster was not what I expected! It looks very cheaply made, there was a huge scuff mark on the side by the buttons. The few times we used it the toast would burn, because it would not pop up on its own. Returned it for our money back.

Beautiful Toaster - Limited Lifetime

Well, it made it through the warranty period before calling it quits. The toaster that it replaced cost a fraction of this one but doesn't have the copper colored accents that go with our Cafe induction range, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. That low budget toaster is still performing like a champ. Unless you have money to throw away on the most expensive toaster you'll ever own, I don't recommend it. I'm disappointed GE would put its premium Cafe name on something this unreliable.
