The room I was in was very hot. Had to figure out a way to make it less hot. After googling 'ways to make a room not hot", I settle on an air conditioner. This unit came in a box andeverything, even looked up to my houses electric via the wall outlet. Room was hot, not it's not a frigidaire was what I got!

It´s been 2 months since I bought it and it´s shown very repsonsive, cooling as necesary only with the ¨low cool¨ option. With the ¨high cool option ¨ it does really well specially in a small rooom. Quite powerful for it´s size, I haven´t found it to be too noisy as other reviews mentioned ( which I think depends whether they installed it correctly). Let´s see how it does in the upcoming months and for the next year!

I have had this unit for almost a week and it seems to cool my small space fine. However, it is very LOUD! I have to keep it on low cool just to half way tolerate the noise. I can barely hear any media over the sound of the air conditioner. Very disappointed.

I bought this unit a month ago. No problem with cooling. The problem is its very noisy. Sounds like water in the bottom of unit and like the fan is running thru it. Water spits out the vents on front wetting my floor. That was after 2 weeks. I took t back got another one and only after 3 days this one did the same. Sounds like water running constantly making it hard to sleep. I will not buy another one until they fix the problem. Just wish they could hear it and see the water spitting out front. Not happy with this at all.

Great air conditioner for a small room...but the installation instructions are absolutely terrible. It took a group of three of us about 2 hours to figure out how to attach the panels. The directions are extremely unclear and quite useless.

After installing it, we pulled out the filter to see what it looked like, then tried to reinsert it, but it only went back in about 1/3 of the way as it seems something was blocking it. Anybody have this issue and if so what did you do to resolve it? We called the store where we purchased it and they just said to bring the whole a/c back and they would give us another one...meaning we would have to go through all the labor of repacking it, returning it and hauling another one into the house and reinstalling it...which isn't easy for two elderly folks. One other option the store (Lowe's) offered was to send out a service tech, which would cost more than what we paid for the a/c! Some options!!! We really cannot rate on how well it works as we can't run it without the filter all the way in......

Within a single week I purchased and returned 3 units. First the thermostat was bad and quick cycled, 2nd one hadn't been fully soldered on the exterior tubing and spit oil after a single night, the third ones compressor never kicked on. Friend is an HVAC master tech and certified Frigidaire technician, he was not surprised at all and said over the last 15 years Frigidaire quality and quality control has dived. Even with his steep discount he won't have one in his home and has stopped installing their units.

This mini window air conditioner is a must have for those long summer days or spontaneous out of season hot days during the Fall, Winter, or Spring. This device was very easy to self-install meaning I was not required to hire a handyman to do it. Once properly installed the air conditioner ran quietly and efficiently and indeed brought down the monthly electric bill as compared to the bill that generated under the old air conditioner. The air conditioner will cool very well the designated square footage so long as room is kept properly secured from the cool air being allowed to escape the room. In addition the removal of the air conditioner was just as easy as it's install due to my having to relocate and the install at the new place went just as well. If you need a small reasonably priced air conditioner with a small carbon footprint that will keep you cool when everyone else is burning up in that summer heat then this is the air conditioner to buy

I bought this a month ago to cool my 90 sqf apartment room. Not sure if I got a defective unit, but it simply does not cool my room down at all. There is nothing but luke-warm air coming out of the vents, even when I have it on "High Cool".Even though this is the cheapest unit, I would still expect a $170 A/C to be able to sufficiently cool down a tiny apartment room (as my last one, which was not from Frigidare, did).

We've had this unit for three summers now. The first two summers, we lived in an attic apartment with south facing bedroom windows, and this little unit didn't do much to help. We now live in a one story home with north facing bedroom windows, and as long as it is set to High cool and 7, it does the job! Anything lower, though and it's still too warm in the room. When it's time to replace, I'll get a higher BTU.

I have had this unit for one summer and now this year, after proper storage it is not creating anything but room temperature air. The compressor turns on, not a thing is broken, and as I saw another person state, if you want your room that fits the specs for this unit to truly be cool below 70, then you are looking at the wrong product for the job. I have had many other AC's of this strength and they have gone above and beyond what this machine claims it can do. Beware unless the low 70's in one room is all you want, and then by year two, service issues and freezing problems!

The unit does ok but it will not cool my 8x16 space below 70 degrees. If your are hot natured this unit will not fit the bill. I like my room around 68 degrees and the compressor just seems too sluggish to do that. My room is very well insulated so there is no reason why it should not reach 68 degrees.

I bought this AC for my sweltering NJ dorm room. My school cranks the heat from October to April and it gets inhumanely hot in my tiny room. This AC barely helps at all. On the "High Cool" setting, with the temperature setting at 7 (max cool) the unit produces a luke warm breeze. I wake up most nights in a sweat! If you're going to buy a small AC, DO NOT waste your money on this one! It is utterly useless! I'm very frustrated about it. If I could, I would give this product 0/5 stars, but that's not an option... so one star it is.
