Poorly designed keypad

Four stars instead of five because the keypad does not have a light making it nearly impossible to see which key is which. As for working, I have no problem with it. Does a good job cooking and reheating. Don't like that I'm going to have to put a light under the cabinet so I can use it.

I love GE appliance's i try to always buy a GE product's because of the reliability of the (Name GE),my last microwave was a GE i got back in 2009 and it was used all day everyday, sorry but i'm not really into the stainless steel look but as long as it lasts a good 15 plus years i'm happy with it.Thanks GE and keep up the good work with putting out great reliable appliances.

Compared to the two previous models of the same capacity and size, the new one is extremely noisy. It seems to have a thinner stainless steel shell which may be the reason. I am very disappointed with the noise

Product was fairly bad. It was like all microwaves, pretty good but lacking stuff like too loud, ugly looking. I also would have preferred a nicer looking box, to make it look top of the line like Cafe appliances. Overall it was mostly terrible. Heating was also mostly bad it took 30 minutes to get it STARTED boiling. It was way too bad in terms of heating. It was way too hot in the middle and almost cold in the outer. Evenness and Ergonomics were terrible along with Defrosting.

I purchased this product beause it was a GE product which I've known to have good name. I am very disappointed with this product. It takes too long to heat up anything I put in it. The sound is very low when the timing is up. If you're not standing there, you'll never hear it. In general the pricing was good, but I wish I'd paid more and got a better product.

This is the 3rd GE Microwave I™™ve purchased over many years. Unlike an old one that lasted for 2 decades, this new one and the one I bought in 2024 don™™t have any light behind the cooking control panel. Makes it difficult to see the numbers. Only the clock is lit. Who decided the customers didn™™t need to see the panel options?? Otherwise it™™s a nice microwave.

It's a microwave but I have to use a flashlight to read the buttons. the spotlight my husband uses to spot deer lights it up. my old GE microwave had a very bright control panel had no trouble reading buttons

The last microwave oven we purchased was a GE Spacesaver, mounted under our upper cabinet. It is still operating 20 years later, but we moved to a new house! So, of course we purchased a newGE microwave and love it! It is sleek, easy to keep clean, quiet, and versatile with lots of settings , and FAST! A big difference from our old one!! My only wish is that the buttons would be lit! But I™™ve used it so much that I know where the various functions are! It™™s a great appliance and I highly recommend GE whenever I get a chance.

The installation instructions with the microwave were easy to follow and straight forward. I like the heave construction of the GE microwave. I had looked at similar models by other manufactures and they were of inferior quality. Hopefully it will last.

The microwave is very noisy. The microwave I have has only 1 button for Defrost with Weight /Time included on the 1 button. All the instructions show is separate buttons for Defrost Time and Defrost Weight. I cannot find any help for defrosting my food with my Defrost button. It™™s very frustrating!

We bought this microwave on May 26th, 2026. On June 5th it stopped working. I got maybe 5 uses from it. Lowes wouldn't allow an exchange, said to contact GE, and GE makes it impossible. Do not buy any GE products.

We had A smaller GE microwave so it's great to have the larger model. The popcorn pops perfectly and the potato button is awesome. The programming buttons are good. The only small issue I have is pushing the button to open the door seems a little difficult for this 76 year old lady.

This is my third GE Microwave. It is the perfect size, and the controls are extremely easy to use. The newest unlock feature is a bit clunky as you have to hit Start/Pause or stop first to open the door. Other than that, this has and will always be my go-to countertop microwave. Highly recommend!

Works great. Simple to use, no unnecessary ™bells and whistles™ I didn™™t want another over the stove model so we installed a shelf and this is the perfect size for our needs. Plenty of power and is not too noisy at all. Love the quick select buttons. It looks very modern and goes well with my other stainless appliances. If I had to pick anything negative, the door latch is a bit stiff/firm to push but it is a latch after all and I have no problem using it even with my arthritic hands. I would highly recommend this product to friends and family.

This microwave replaces a model we bought over 2 yrs ago. Similar model in size and style. I was upset that the previous model stopped working. Good size for kitchen counter. Negative feedback is that it is loud when running and the plastic feet causes it to slide on counter when opening door. Under $150. Worth the money.

The GE microwave I bought in December 2024 died in March 2026. I didn't have an extended warranty so I was very unhappy. The only new microwave the same size was the same model I had, but this time I bought an extended 4 year warranty. My old GE microwave was purchased in 2005 so it lasted twenty years so I didn't expect to need an extended warranty. This new microwave is lighter and slides around on the cart plus the silver finish shows handprints. In addition I have to press a number of buttons to defrost. The old one was easy--press defrost and then the time.

Errant operational direction manual

The product literature instructions are very poorly written. I returned the first microwave to Best Buy in error because the directions failed to indicate how one engages the power level button, leading me to conclude it was not functional. Calling the support line, the first CSR dumped me back to the phone tree. The second one, much more congenial, patiently explained how to engage the power button. HOWEVER, even her instructions were incorrect and I INSTRUCTED HER the proper sequence to engage the power button, using and interpolating her janky instruction manual. So, GE has a brand ambassador problem (CSR #1) When finally presented with a congenial and professional customer service representative (CSR #2, Noreen) she was undercut by GE's supplied and poorly written operational directions. Kudos to Noreen for representing GE well.

It is the loudest microwave I™™ve ever heard. The worst thing about It is that the control panel doesn™™t light up. I have near perfect vision, but the writing is so light that It was too difficult to see. Customer Support said there™™s no way to light up the panel. Best Buy sent me a microwave in a previously opened and used box. I returned the seemingly pre-owned and ™damaged™ microwave. It wasn™™t worth the bother. I got a Toshiba, which is much quieter and the entire panel lights up.

As much as I dislike GE (had serious issues with 2 different models of their washers & dryers, barely lasted 2 years) this was the only model that fit the space on our counter & had a good price. The door lock feature is a real PITA and it's LOUD when it unlocks. The turntable moves very slow & it's kind of loud. We use to warm up cold coffee & heat up food, so it serves i's purpose overall.

I think it sucks. It is almost too small and the turntable/carousel does not turn. Otherwise we are using it on a limited basis. Controls?...I've had easier to use microwaves and the carousel worked. Power?... Down from what we are used to, but we are managing.
