I had another GE before this and it did not drain well. I got mold in it and thought it was malfunctioning. I only bought another GE because it is slightly shorter and fit my opening better. Well this one does not drain well either and the service people told me that is normal for this model.

The tracks are different than the one I had before and now I realize that the plates need to be on the bottom rack in the farthest back row otherwise it's hard to push the rack back in. It's much quieter than the one I had before this. I've also had to get used to it being gray inside instead of white. Doing a great job cleaning the dishes.

Great dishwasher. The dishes come out sparkling clean. Drying them at the end of the cycle is easy. Just open the door and pull out the bottom rack and they're dry after a few hours.. It's also very quiet which is a huge plus. I'm really glad we chose a GE dishwasher.

The top rack is flimsy and cannot withstand the weight of glasses. There is no latch to open and close the door just a groove. As in, you push it shut and pull it open. Also, a sticker placed on the plastic front panel peeled off the plastic of the panel when removed.

We decided to invest in a new dishwasher during a recent kitchen update, since our old dishwasher was nearly 20 years old. (It still worked just fine, but we thought it made sense at the time). As for the GE dishwasher, it was on sale and we ordered it online from our local Queen City Appliance store. For this GE model, although the spacing between racks is much greater than the older dishwashers, the GDF535PGRWW model is disappointing in it's overall form and function. The door is very flimsy and lightweight and the racks do not roll in and out smoothly. There is no wash cycle less than 1 hour that I could discern. Although this model was advertised as being excellent at drying the dishes, it was not as good as our 20 year-old Whirlpool. Worst of all, we used this dishwasher about 6 times before it broke down. We're now waiting for 4 parts to be installed. I'd much rather have a better model than keep this shoddy dishwasher.

I had a budget and GE had an instant rebate just when I was ready to buy! The bottom rack can handle taller items! It's a lot quieter than expected. I read the explanations of what to look for in decibels. I think everyone should. Why pay a hundred dollars more when there's not a noticeable difference? The only negatives have been insufficient explanations of the settings and that even with the dry selection, the inside walls of the dishwasher are really wet after washing and if you shut the door after unloading, the condensation is still there days later.

The thing I love the most about this dishwasher is that the control panel is straightforward and user friendly. Secondly, it has been designed in such a way that the upper and lower levels have enough room to wash large items on the bottom without hitting the top basket.

The dishwasher washes great. It is a little loud. It seems that the loudness is coming from the door not shutting properly. If you push on both sides of the door when it is running, the noise goes away. The door latch seems cheaply made. Other than that I have no complaints.

The GE Dishwasher was purchased in July 2021. No one lived in condo or used dishwasher. I purchased condo in October 2021. The GE Dishwasher has never worked properly. The dishwasher will run for over 2 hours. The CLEAN and SANITIZE indicator lights have never lit. I have had two appointments with GE Authorized Repair cancelled. The GE Technician is scheduled to arrive today. I would like to have my new GE Dishwasher working!

We needed to replace our other GE dishwasher that broke. This was the only washer that was readily available compared to other models. Installation was fairly simple like the old one. The poor rating is for the very cheap built door on the washer. When opening it, the door twists and according to the instructions, it was to close and latch by itself. That doesn't happen. We have to push it to latch it and it is hard to do. We plan on replacing this washer soon and we will look at more models to get one like our old one.
