I ordered my refrigerator 3 years ago January 2023, it took them three times and after getting the third refrigerator this one seemed to work.now 3 years later the refrigerator is dead. the repairman said the coils are shot. I ordered another refrigerator the new refrigerator is being delivered on Tuesday the 24th . 5 days with no refrigerator. as a consumer with many GE products in my home very disappointed.could someone please contact me with ideas and how I'm going to get some of my money back it's not fair to the consumer.thank you for taking the time to read this

'Lemon' fridge that took forever to resolve

Refrigerator took almost 4 weeks to be delivered. Installers mucked up my front door trim, couldn't properly level/adjust. Had GE come out to look at how the trim caused one door to stick out further than the other. They ordered new door. New door came dented. Ordered another door! Same issue with new door installed! We determined it was the actual refrigerator itself, not the door that was the issue. GE had to come out 4 times. Final time, was supposed to bring engineer as well. Only GE guy came but he then found a huge crack in the freezer side of the fridge! Again, the refrigerator itself was the problem! Took a gazillion calls to convince everyone involved that we want a NEW FRIDGE. Frankly, I would have just said - refund me and I'll go buy something else. Ordered Nov 3, 2025. Finally received a working fridge 2/16/26. 4 months! Of leaving work for each tech visit, time spent on phone and email to resolve this. Ridiculous.

One door is warped and needs to be replaced. The new door arrived Tuesday and will be installed next Monday. Also, the entire fridge rocks and is not stable. Hope they can level correctly and that the entire fridge is not warped.

Good but not great!

Next 24 hours will decide if I return this refrigerator or keep it. Overall quality is good but there are a few areas where the build quality is not what I was used to with old unit this replaced (not a GE). Disappointed that I can't "lock" the rollers in place without affecting the height causing top to hit bottom of cabinets above even though stated dimensions on this are only 7/8" higher than what it replaces which did not come within over an inch of hitting. The two drawers, not three like appear to have been in the GE model this number replaces, are not really sturdy and I doubt will hold up to years of opening and closing. Also, its hard to understand why the white price was so much higher than stainless steel look price. Bought white because I did not want to replace all the other appliances in kitchen which which work well and look good just to have a matching kitchen. Hopefully, if I do keep it, this refrigerator will last a long time without problems.

Disappointing on several levels

The GSE25GGPWW has been disappointing on multiple levels. It was as if the mechanical engineering team and the interior design team never worked together. The interior design of both the freezer and refrigerator is terrible compared to our last non-GE refrigerator. In the freezer for example, having an entire shelf for icemaking (instead of integrating it in the door) and string ice is a waste of space. The bottom shelf is 21" above the lower basket, which means you have to pile up food on top of each other to use the space. Also, the 2" wide door shelves are virtually worthless. The refrigerator itself has two pull out drawers for fruits and vegetables. Unfortunately, the larger one is smaller than the smaller drawer of our last refrigerator. Very limited capacity for fresh fruits and vegetables. Also, the top shelf is obstructed by a tower that limits the its usability and capacity. Overall, the refrigerator capacity and usability is disappointing. Finally, one of the reasons we bought this particular refrigerator is that you are supposedly able to see what the temperature is in the refrigerator by using the control panel on the outside of the door. I have no idea where they are measuring the temperature but it certainly isn't in the freezer or the refrigerator. We have remote electronic sensors in the freezer and refrigerator that wirelessly transmit the respective temperatures to a control panel that we magnetically attach to the outside of the refrigerator door. They NEVER agree with the constant 0 and 36 degree temperature that the GE says the temperature is in the freezer and refrigerator, respectively - not even closely. On the brighter side, we are looking forward to seeing the Energy Star rating be reflected in our energy bill!

The compartments and shelving are perfect. The y allow for reconfiguration of the entire inside to meet your own needs. The capacity allows for plenty of room in both the freezer and fridge. The double sided doors make it easy to store and retrieve the various food items. The front control panel is also helpful in monitoring temperature, dispensing water and a variety of ice. It is also made with a clean and sleek design that would complement any home.

We've had this refrigerator for a couple weeks now. Overall, we really like it so far. The tray that holds the ice is not very easy to remove, but we don't see the need to take it out very often, so should be ok. Wish it had a deli tray/compartment, but that's alright. We'll look for an after market tray online. Because we live in a humid environment, we've noticed condensation building up and dripping from the ice dispenser flapper door. Really like the lighting and how it starts off dim when you first open the door and slowly brightens. Capacity great. Shelving great. Keeping good temperature. Purchased b/c it's energy efficient.

Not Up to Old Fridge in Design

Temperatures right on 0 freezer and 37 fridge. Door shelves poorly designed: std. ice cream container slightly too large for freezer door. Fridge door shelves need 1/16 in. more depth to fit std. salad dressing jar. Contains only 4 fridge shelves (old Hot Point had 5) resulting in wasted cubic air space. Height 2 inches more than old fridge which required removal of cabinet on top. Depth 3 inches more than old fridge makes it look oversize. Other than the poor inefficient dimensional design, it runs quietly and was the best replacement available for our 32 yr. old Hot Point side by side.

I™€™ve only had it a few weeks, better review would be owning it years. I had a similar product that quit delivering water & problems with temperature. Repairs were done. I decided to buy a new one after repair. I understand they make things to fail on purpose after a few years to make more profit . My previous one had a small 3rd drawer in the middle that used for cheese. I Didn™€™t know how much I was going to miss that drawer. This one didn™€™t have it. It has two good bottom drawers.. So there is a container space difference.

This refrigerator would not have been my first choice, but I accepted it out of frustration and urgent need because I had been without a main fridge for nearly four weeks due to the slow response by the warranty company. One complication was that the white finish is very hard to find, and the choices available through the home warranty company were very limited. I am not a fan of the side-by-side concept, per se, but this appliance does have ample storage capacity for my family. The refrigerator side is very well lit, but the freezer side, not so much. It is somewhat difficult to see the bottom third of the freezer. I do not care for the design of the freezer at all, in terms of layout - permanent shelves versus moveable shelves. In general, the shelves on the door of the freezer are fairly useless...Likewise, I was not thrilled to learn that an ice maker came standard with all models that were available to me. I am not a fan of that feature. I probably would not even connect it. I suppose you might just say that I took what was available in white at the time, and I would've preferred a freezer on the bottom model without an ice maker. I more or less had limited choices, and I just needed a fridge. That worked. Period. This fridge is just good enough...First world problem...

The side by side is well organized and there is plenty of space. Plastic drawer for ice cube tray doesn™€™t slide smoothly. This is our second fridge as the first was defective and had to be replaced. GE replaced this without any difficulty. However, because it was delivered directly to our home, we had to remove all tape and packaging ourselves. When we ordered it originally, it was delivered to the appliance store and they did that for us. Also there was a scratch across the side , maybe from a knife when the box was opened. The doors are crooked, but GE has said they will call with an appointment to come out and make that adjustment. They offered an additional 1yr. extension on the warranty and $75 for the scratch.

The refrigerator is preforming very well, but the lack of a lunch meat/cheese drawer is greatly missed. ( My previous GE side by side had one.) Also, the shelving configuration in the freezer and the huge wasted area above the wire basket at the bottom is a real challenge, which I have yet to resolve.

THE BOTTOM DRAW STICKS A BIT BUT I HAVE TO FIDDLE WITH IT TO FIND OUT WHY. THE NARROW SHELVES ARE BELOW THE BROADER ONES ON THE FIDGE DOOR, SO ONE MUST BEND TO SEE WHAT ARE IN THEM, BUT OVER TIME IT WILL BE OBVIOUS.

Haven't had it for long @ 2 weeks, but so far I love it. I like being able to adjust the Bin's/shelves so many levels. The easy to clean outside is great. Easy to see and control temperature's in freezer/refrigerator. So for now I love everything about it.

I've used my new refrigerator for a month now and am very happy with it. I've had no issues at all. The ice maker works well and there is plenty of room for all our food. The only thing negative would be that there is no deli bin for meats and cheeses. I will have to order one separately.

Well pleased with the performance of the fridge. Nice lighting, quite performance. Inside is laid out to meet a variety of shelf options. The only problem I see is there is no legs on the bottom so as you level fridge the wheels do not lock and when you open the door it actually pulls the unit from the wall. It is a problem that the only way you can correct it is to raise the front a little above level and then support the frame and raise the wheels away from the floor so that it is suspended from the floor. It is hard to believe that it has such a primitive of a design for today with the engineers involved with manufacturing. Would have been a five star if not for this flaw.

Refridgerator Review

Not as nice as my old GE Profile refrigerator. This refrigerator does not even have a meat/cheese drawer. Side door shelves are not as deep and do not hold as much. Front of door on outside is shiny and not the same as sides of refridgerator. Preference is for non shiny. Cheeper made than old refrigerator.

The refrigerator section is wonderful: Lots of light, adjustable shelves, plenty of room. But the freezer has the ice storage in an awkward spot which blocks the light and takes up too much room in a section of the freezer that should be storage space.

I'm a little disappointed. I replaced my old GE Refrigerator with this model which is a bit larger. There is one fewer drawer and the freezer has one less shelf. I like the ice maker.
