GE refused to provide a print version of their instruction manual. The print on the control panel is very faint and hard to read, and the lack of a manual means that it is not easy to understand how everything works. Some people do not have access to electronic devices when in the kitchen, they ignore this.

GE produces junk 5/25/2026

GE does not make quality products and they do Not fix their products. Worst gas range I have ever owned! Oven turns off randomly, sometimes during the preheat sometimes five minutes into cooking, sometimes an hour into cooking and then it starts running through all the oven options- cleaning, air-fry, broil and then you have to wait for it to reset before you can try to turn the oven on again. We™€™ve been told repeatedly that it is the control panel. We have replaced the control panel 5 times, three of them at our own expense but it never works for more than 35 days, just long enough to get outside of the warranty on the part. GE customer service has done nothing except tell us we should have bought an extended warranty. This started happening the day we bought the oven and they™€™ve never fixed the problem properly.

I don't know how the range works, but if the WiFi connection is any indication, we just spent a lot of money for a wild ride. The procedure is full of issues, the least of which is the requirement that your router be within 20 feet of the range- ABSURD!! My phone works on WiFi in detached my garage. Bells and whistles that are useless. NOT moving the router, NOT buying an extender to remotely turn the oven on and off. JUNK.

Just over a year old and have a gas leak...$400 !.... and there's 4 more valves...these things are junk and I can't say enough bad things about it..our last GE appliances lasted 20 years...GE has lost their way....don't buy GE, you will regret it, and this was the profile series, supposedly their top of the line...I can only imagine how bad the lower ones are.

Expected better. Get the extended warranty. While the stovetop works very well and can put off some heat quickly, I ran into some other issues immediately. I had to file a claim for the front leveling foot. It is cheap molded plastic instead of all-thread. The piece was damaged during transport and could not be leveled without being fixed. The alert sound for timer and preheat is not loud so using a separate timer is advised if you have any other sounds going on in the home. The touchpad for the oven controls has its quirks and the 7 button will sometimes turn the oven off. Not what I expected for a Profile level product.

Wifi lacking

The stove works great, however; the method to change settings such as temp and sound is not good at all. It's difficult to navigate through the options. Also the wifi does not connect well. It needs an antenna or something better. It only works if my wifi is within 4 feet. All my other wifi connected devices work well throughout my house.

Nice stove/oven once the "Start" button registers

Very frustrated with the "Start" button. After selecting bake, broil, etc. the "Start" button needs to be pressed. For some reason it is not consistent in "how" to press it. Most of the time it works as well as the other buttons, sometimes it takes several presses (hard, soft, cover with thumb, lightly poke) for it to register. The stove and oven itself is great. Even setting it up to control through Alexa was easy. When the "Start" button is too frustrating, I use the Alexa command to turn on the oven. Disappointed the "Start" button isn't as consistent as the other buttons.

Like the stove top. Grates extend to the edge of stove. Middle griddle is great. Keypad is stiff. I have to press numbers HARD to get them to work. Hopefully the key pad will loosen up. Oven works good so far. Have made several batches of Sour Dough. GE promptly sent(FedEx) out oven ignitor when range arrived new with broken part.

We like the higher BTU stove top burners, sturdy grates, and shorter preheat time for the oven. The brushed stainless steal surface is easy to clean. The oven timer is more complicated and can't always see the time remaining. The convection fan has a defective shaft. It wobbles and rattles. The dealer inspected it and will replace the fan under warranty.

While the gas stove cooks nicely, ALL instructions on the Smart HQ app aand manias are absolutely USELESS to try and connect with WiFi ™€œConnected Appliance Passwords™€ label does not match what comes up on app; my phone does not detect the appliance; there is no ™€œGet Connected ™€œbutton on the control panel; the screen does not match the templates offered on the set up sequence; and worst of all, when manually entering serial and model numbers, thy are said to be ™€œinvalid.™€ I™€™d go for a ™€œdumb™€ appliance anyway but ai have no choice hutt work this out somehow. I ™€˜m very disappointed in the overwhelming amount of information inthe app and manuals that offer no real help.

Beyond disappointed with the GE appliances I purchased a couple weeks ago. With respect to the range, it is not capable of showing the time remaining on the timer while using the oven! How ridiculous! There isn't any way to see the time remaining because if you hit Timer again, it just shuts it off. If you use Cook Time, it shuts the oven off when it reaches that time. Again, ridiculous. Also, you are unable to hear the beep of the Timer and Cook Time unless you are in a totally quiet environment standing next to the oven. So you cannot use the oven features when using the oven, you must stand in the kitchen the entire time or you will either burn the food or your house. So to use a $1300 oven, I have to use a separate timer! Just disgusted. I have had $500 ovens that work better than this one.

Works Great - Imperfect Appearance

Excellent product, works wonderfully. However, the product was delivered on January 9th and after just a week the bottom front edge of the refrigerator interior liner (the one piece molded white vinyl) has developed an upward facing distorted bulge approximately 1/2" in height and 5" in width. This apparent physical imperfection does not appear to be impacting the operation or performance (at the current time) this is an unsightly image for a brand new product for all friends and family who want to view our new G.E. refrigerator and will consider purchasing the same product.

Confusing features

I might have given it 5 stars but am still waiting to hear from my dealer about an issue I have with the stovetop grates. My salesman assured us that the grates could be cleaned in the dishwasher. Our previous stove was also a GEProfile but the grates could not be put in the dishwasher and so I have been washing them in the sink for the past 25 yrs. Salesman said safe for dishwasher. I got around to printing the owner™€™s manual where it clearly states that the grates are washable in the sink! I went back to our salesman who pulled up the specs on his computer which clearly show the grates in the dishwasher™€¦I flipped my manual open to page 24, which clearly says to clean them in the sink. Salesman recognized my confusion and said he will check with his rep. No word yet but I am optimistic. Which way is it, folks™€¦safe for dishwasher or not?????

I love the air fry feature in oven. I like the number of gradations of flame on the knobs. I like the height of the iron grates on top of the stove. I really do NOT like that there is no loud beeping noise when the oven attains desired temperature. This is a really big bad design flaw.

I have had the unit for over a year. The installer warned me that I would need to run the oven to "burn off" chemicals from production, no big deal. I followed his instructions; not pleasant. However, the oven continues to give off a toxic-smelling odor when I run the oven. I have been in denial about it, but finally realized it was not right, and not going away, probably quite unhealthy, and am now outside the warranty. Also, the cook top does not age well, despite gentle cleaning. Super not happy. My friend's Bosch had zero smell, even from the beginning.

No Instruction manual included

Nice looking stove. What determine out choice We needed an electrical plug on the right side of the stove, so this was the best choice. I™€™m not crazy about the griddle in the middle; it is something I™€™ll never use. That middle burner does not get hot enough for real grilling. The most ridiculous thing is that no instruction manual is included. Crazy!! They pack the stove in tons of cardboard and Styrofoam. They could include that flimsy little manual. It took us a while to figure out how to put the burner grates on top and how to use the keypad and clock. Plus, I definitely need the manual to learn how to use the cleaning function. Called the salesperson, and they said only online. I found the manual, but it™€™s annoying to only have it online and I™€™m not going to print 35 pages at home.

Oven won™€™t preheat, unrepairable, worst service!!

Hadthis oven for seven months it stopped preheating. went without an oven for two weeks waiting for a repair and . It was ultimately deemed unrepairable by GE and new one would not be available until Jan 2026. I was offered a less comparable oven or buy back- both unacceptable options one week before Christmas. Customer service said they could not get approval for an in stock model or expedite delivery or install before the holiday. Absolutely worst customer service!

Broken in less than a year

We have had this range since Jan 2025 and already one of the knobs (the far right one) has had issues, something inside the plastic broke going between the inner and outer burner, an now the igniter in the oven has stopped functioning. I set it to preheat and 10min later my home smells of gas and the temp hasnt risen. This is a risk, if I hadnt noticed it would have kept filling my house with gas.

Efficient & Beautiful

We purchased 3 GE products: a French door Refrigerator/Freezer, a Gas range and an over-the-range Microwave. We are so pleased and have not had any problems with any of them. The Refrigerator/Freezer is so deep and roomy. The stove and oven are amazing. Very easy to operate and such even and quick cooking!

This whole line is trash

I bought the whole line less than three years ago and I have had major problems with them. First, the refrigerator shelves cracked and broke with normal, non-heavy usage. Then the dishwasher conked out and I had to get a new mother board. Now the oven doesn™€™t heat above 125 degrees for no reason. What an expensive disappointment.

Great Appliance!

My family and I really love our new stove! The middle cast iron grill and griddle are perfectly seasoned and non-stick. The burners work really well, and the convection and air-fry features are also really great! No complaints whatsoever. It's well worth the extra money for something nice that will last a long time (we hope!).

The range arrived with a broken oven igniter. Dealer couldn't get a new igniter quickly, had to replace it with one from a floor model. Still took over a week to get the part. Once the igniter was replaced we spent many many many hours trying to calibrate the oven temp to actual temp both in normal bake mode and convection mode. The temps seem to be somewhat calibrated. Next call is going to be for service to come look at it.

Great GE Profile range with many features

Absolutely loved this GE Profile range with No preheat air fryer...it's the day before Thanksgiving and our old range died... did some research and liked the GE unit. Drove down to our local appliance store, and, with Black Friday deal going on (rebates based on number of appliances purchased), wound up buying a total of 4 matching GE Profile appliances (Range, Refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher) !!! Nice, clean, crisp stainless look !

Dangerous oven! Think twice before purchasing!

If I could rate this range a 0, I would! It is unreliable and was defective from the start! Had to replace the control panel within the first year under warranty, and it™€™s been inconsistent for years - shutting down in the middle of baking, unresponsive panel, turning on by itself, having to unplug and reset everything. You just can™€™t trust it. Major safety issue when baking at 425 and you can™€™t turn off your oven unless you go to the breaker panel. Today we baked at 350, and it just completely turned off. Very frustrating. Range is less than 4 years old. Think twice about purchasing this oven!

Just had the stove installed and used it for the first time. Looks great and fits well into the location where it replaced my previous one. The burners on top are solid and did a great job so far with my first cooking meals.

Poor Door Design

We've had this range for 10 years and it has worked very well. However, due to what we believe to be a design flaw, the outside door frame has detached resulting in the outside oven door glass to separate each time we open the oven door. The cost of the service call, part and repair don't justify spending the money on a 10+ year old range.

Cooks great, but as like the majority of appliances today the quality of parts have gone down. The grates have already started to discolor despite me wiping them down after every use to keep spillage and splatter from building up.
