We love this fridge. We bought this about 18 months ago and I™€™ve never loved an appliance more. For the size and value, this is a great purchase. Great capacity of the fridge and it™€™s surprising how much you can fit in the freezer. Cooling and freezing is very strong and we™€™ve had no issues. The quick cool setting is hardly used but the simplified controls are easy. Would buy again!!

Fridge is useless after one year

I really loved this fridge until it broke™€¦just weeks after the one-year warranty lapsed. The fridge is warm but the freezer is working. Everything I've read says it's likely the air damper failing, which requires replacing the entire air tower. It's going to be $200 for the parts, and even more with labor. A fridge shouldn't need intensive repairing after just a year.

We have a tiny home and wanted to cool and freeze in one counter depth appliance We also needed a quite appliance because I am super sensitive to noise We knew that this appliance is not the most energy efficient one. That™€™s actually our only negative (hence not fife stars) observation. We think that the appliance uses energy all the time. It doesn™€™t seem to stop at all. It needs 24-60 watt all the time. We use solar and can see each output. However, the rest is fine. We don™€™t use bigger container so the shelving is useful for us. We are happy with the product 🌺

Freezer works nothing else

Refrigerator does not stay cool... Initially when I had it it was a little noisy but everything worked. But a year in I noticed a few times where milk seemed to spoil quicker than expected but everything seemed fine until this summer, nearly two years after buying it the refrigerator stopped working. Had various reps come out each of them saying that's not what's supposed to happen. The temperature inside reads 70° refrigerator -1° freezer all while the settings say 34° & 0° they replaced all the parts they could; fans, damper, logic board. All to say there's nothing they can do it has to be replaced

I've had this fridge almost a year and just got around to registering it, but that gives me a whole lot of time spent loving it. I'm single so for me the capacity works very well in both the fridge and freezer. As for shelving, you may have to get a bit creative with containers -- just a few tweaks over the 1st few weeks. Mine is quiet, cold where it should be and freezing where it counts. I've never had such a sleek-looking refrigerator and am very proud of it.

A bit awkward, but good looking!

door opening and closing has to be carefully managed due to the lever on the left door. If not firmly closed it will remain slightly ajar. Shelf adjustments are limited both on the inside and difficult to move on the doors. Tall bottles do not work, especially on the doors as you have to then eliminate a shelf. The crisper drawer cannot be pulled out unless both doors are fully open as the crisper drawer hits the gaskets on both sides of fridge. It's better than what I had before, and esthetically it's good looking. I think the (2) freezer drawers could have been combined into one or made less deep, which would allowed more room for actual refrigerator capacity up top. Also I had to eliminate a shelf to make room for tall items.

Overall a good little fridge! We did end up having to remove a shelf due to height of objects (USA containers). Cools great, best option for a fridge this small. We did get the ice maker added on- it doesn™€™t stop filling in time so ice drops down into other drawer of freezer, so that™€™s annoying. Quiet!

Great for down-sizing or tight spaces

The important elements of this purchase for me were a smaller width,, counter depth with french doors over a bottom freezer and pocket handles. In this way the Haier refrigerator/freezer meets my priorities. It is perfect for small spaces Sleek design. Surprising capacity for the small profile.  Unit reaches temp quickly and offers a separate cooling zone in the bottom drawer. Despite french doors, all shelves traverse the width of the refrigerator interior including the bottom drawer (crisper/cool zone). Unless u know on which side of the refrigerator you have stored an item you will have to open both of the french doors which might impact energy efficiency. It has a good capacity for the size. The refrigerator shelves don't allow fot pitchers or milk cartons and have very little options for adjustin the height. Same with the compartments on the interior of the doors. Although two 6-egg holders are provided, their size seems arbitrary.  Two together are too wide for any of the door shelves while one is too small and rattles around when opening & closing the door. Additionally, once they contain eggs, they do not stack.  Dual freezer drawers is very convenient for accessing ice & frequently used items from the upper drawer which is energy efficient. I opted to install the icemaker at an additional cost. It is unusually noisy.

Installed yesterday, and so far I love this fridge! I don™€™t buy gallons, so that isn™€™t a problem. I removed a door shelf so I can fit a bottle of wine standing up in the door, and moved the middle shelf to the higher level making the middle shelf taller for salad dressings and pasta sauce. The shorter shelf above works for unopened bottles like a wine rack, and is eye-level for takeout and leftovers. My favorite part is that the fridge is not too deep, so nothing will get pushed to the back and forgotten. And the shorter shelves fit glass condiments better than tall plastic ones, so I will make better choices at the grocery store. I™€™m still considering how I will keep cold water in the fridge. For the moment I™€™m using cans of sparkling, which fit beautifully. I™€™m also very pleased with the quiet performance of the fridge. After I had been playing with the shelves with the doors open a little too long, the fridge pinged at me to shut the door, and eventually the motor kicked it. It was a quiet whirring. If I hadn™€™t been standing directly in front of the fridge at that time, I don™€™t think I would have noticed. So far this seems like a sturdy, quiet, perfectly sized fridge.

Best thing is the size. It fits a smaller kitchen but still provides enough storage for a family of up to 3 I would estimate. The interior is brightly lit and I like the double freezer drawers. The frig offers a sleek modern appearance in finger print resistant stainless steel. The outside control panel is easy to use. The frig is quiet. Using a thermometer in refrigerator and freezer, the freezer temp matches the setting within one degree. However, the refrigerator section is always about 2 degrees warmer than the setting

Fridge is great looking and fits space so nicely. Perfect in every way but one: For AMERICAN homes, the shelving space "stops" (levels) are TOO SHORT unless you make them CRAZY HIGH (which narrows other shelves down to like 4"). There should be a few more height options that would allow, say, a half gallon of milk "height" without ZEROING OUT another shelf above or below it. Seems not made for most American store package sizing.

I™€™ve only had the refrigerator for about 3 weeks, so I can™€™t speak to the long term durability of the product. But, so far I™€™m very pleased with the fridge. I was specifically looking for a small, yet still full sized, fridge. This fridge checks all of the boxes I was looking for. I also bought and installed the ice maker, which was a fairly simple process. Like many have noted, the shelves, in their standard configuration, don™€™t allow for a full sized gallon of milk, or anything similarly tall. So, I did have to remove one of the shelves to accommodate food. I think in my perfect world, there™€™s only one freezer drawer, and the fridge section is bigger. But, given the parameters of my search, this fridge is pretty close to my ideal. Love the sleek modern look, and the French doors give it an upscale feel.

Freezes A LOT OF FOOD! shelving design problems

Love the machine. No problems so far; next fridge is going to be WIDER, not deeper - having trouble reaching in for things in the back. YOUR PROBLEM TO ME IS: SHELVING/SPACE --- shelving should be lower on doors or just two shelves - one for small objects, one for taller - on one door, the other door, moveable shelves (six should fit) with rims so objects don't fall out front and sides. Had to take "shelves" out of freezer compartment TO GIVE ME more room.

I love the size, and especially the two drawer freezer. The temperature monitor on the front door is also very nice. However, the lack of options to adjust the shelving for taller items is a let down.

I wrote my initial review below before I opened my fridge for the morning and then unplugged and plugged it back in to see if it still worked. No lights came on, no sound was made when I plugged it back in. It seems that the day after I installed it, it no longer works. I bought this fridge largely because I needed something that was truly countertop depth for my very small kitchen. It works really well for that space. I love the drawer freezer, and that the two drawers allow me so much organizational space. But, the fridge I wish was a little different. It will take me some getting used to that The light doesn™€™t automatically come on when you open the door, and that it is quite dim, even when it is fully on. I also think I thought French doors would be nice, but with such a small door, having two side sides really limits what you can put in the door space, especially since most containers are circular and it means you can only fit 2 to 3 items on each shelf. The door shelves are not adjustable, so that means my tall items can only go on one shelf. I also think it would benefit from having the main shelves in the fridge have at least one that is two sided so that you can have one level adjustable, but I™€™ll see how that feels after living with it for a while. Overall, I just wish it weren™€™t French door, but there are very limited options when you™€™re finding a fridge that™€™s less than 27 inches deep.

Upscale and well laid out fridge

This is a great fridge for a smaller kitchen. You don't have to bend over to see what you have. It's a little taller than all the other fridges of its width and size which was a big factor in my decision to purchase. It looks amazing too. So upscale. The shelves are not adjustable, so you get used to buying the sizes of containers that fit, and it keeps you from buying all kinds of stuff that just sits there without being used for months on end. My only complaint is that the metal on the outside dents very easily. Just know that and be careful about banging things into it.
